Elizabeth Cain is a licensed clinical social worker who earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University in 2005.
Ms. Cain’s work in the field of Mental Health has been a life-calling. She has over thirty years of experience counseling individuals, families and groups in a multitude of settings; including: inpatient and partial hospitalization, outpatient, community mental health and schools. When working with clients, she utilizes a client-centered, accepting approach to establish the therapeutic relationship needed to facilitate change. Ms. Cain practices an eclectic use of psychoanalytic and cognitive behavioral therapies to assist clients in coping with current issues, manage mental health symptoms and develop positive coping skills to move through difficult life challenges.
